Learn More about working with Podcast Boutique
I've made more than $3 million online and every cent of that was generated by my podcast. And in that time, my podcast on average only took one hour of my time per week. I've helped more than 400 other CEOs and business owners install profitable podcasts into their business that brings them leads in sales 24, seven, even when they're on vacation. And I know that since you're a business owner, you probably understand that content is the most cost effective and scalable way to grow a business in today's world. And you want to use content to grow your business. But here's the problem. You're a business owner. You're busy running a business. And you've been misled to believe that in order to do content right, you have to become a full-time creator. And you have to be on every single platform. But here's the thing, you don't have time to create content for a dozen platforms. You don't have time to master each one. And you certainly don't have time to manage a huge content team. Because again, you've got a business to run. And yet, you're still trying to do this. You're posting content here and there, maybe even semi-consistently. But it's frustrating. It's not bringing enough new leads. It's not growing your audience. And it's definitely not growing your business. All it's doing is eating up your time and your resources. So if that sounds like you, here's the good news. Today, we're going to turn that around. In this video, I'm going to share my one hour per week content strategy that will let you publish high-quality content that actually grows your business. Because all it takes is one recording session per week for you to have content on your podcast, on YouTube, for your email list, on any social media platforms that you want, for SEO, even for ads, and anywhere else. My name is Kevin. I'm the founder of Grow the Show, where we help business owners grow through podcasting. And the system that I'm about to share is my bread and butter. I'm giving it away in this video. And I call it the podcast driven business. Here's the idea. You, the business owner, the CEO, founder, investor, entrepreneur, whatever you call yourself, you spend just one hour or a week recording a podcast episode. That episode can be an expert interview, a conversation with a co-host, or just you sharing some insights. And in that one recording, you share something useful for your target audience. The same people that your business serves. The episode can be up to an hour, or it could be as short as five to 10 minutes. You can record it as audio only, or if you want, you can add video and publish it on YouTube. Then once the episode is recorded, AI steps in. It transforms the stuff that you said in that hour of conversation, which is a lot of good stuff. And it takes all those pieces and gives you an email newsletter that you can send out to your list and social media content that you can share wherever you want. Now, you may have tried AI tools before, and the output might have been clunky or very AIE. We all know, this is a game changer. And you can tell if the word game changer is used, right? If that's you, I understand, stick with me because with this system, you're going to make the AI sound just like you. And once you achieve that, it only takes one hour of input for week and you've got yourself a three-pillar content strategy. Long-form content for your podcasts on YouTube, which nurtures the crap out of leads, short-form content for social media that generates tons of leads, and a direct line to your audience through an email newsletter which gets all these leads to finally buy. Each of these three pillars then works to grow the others as well. So on the podcast, you share links to freebies and lead magnets that get the people on your email list. In your newsletter, you keep your subscribers updated on new episodes of the show, and they go and listen. And then on social media, you point people to both of those things, so they listen to your podcast, watch your YouTube, and subscribe to your email list. All three of those pillars work together to bring people into your sales funnel, which is the steps that people have to take in order to buy your stuff. That funnel might include a discovery call with you or a sales team. It might be a DM chat on Instagram, or sometimes it's just a well-crafted sales page. Either way, here's the best part. Once you have this content system built, all you got to do is record one podcast episode a week. Have I said that enough yet? Sorry. But I'm not kidding, it's worth repeating. Because with this setup, you get leads in sales 24-7, reaching people around the world any time of day. And in fact, since I've hit record on this video, three leads have come in, and somebody just joined my membership while I was recording this video, because my content is out there doing the work. All I did was record one episode, run it through this system, and now it's doing the work for me while I sleep, or in this case, talk to you in these YouTube videos. Now, okay, you might be thinking, all right, Kev, I get it. Just one episode a week, you said it already. But what should these episodes actually be about? How do I know what topics to cover? Well, whether or not you're interviewing other people, which hint, if you want people to buy from you, they need to hear from you. That's a topic for another video. But the answer is simple. You just need to make episodes about the things that you did last week in your business and your life. Because here's the key. You want your podcast content to help your audience with the same challenges that your product or service solves for them. So, for example, if you're an online fitness coach helping people lose weight, your content should help them lose weight. Or if you run a business that helps companies with bookkeeping and finances, then create content that shares valuable insights on bookkeeping and finance. When you do it this way, not only is it easy for people to decide to buy from you because you've already served them for free, but it also makes it really easy for you to pick your content topics. And if you want to know what this looks like, here's all you do. When the time comes to record an episode of your podcast, just pull up your calendar from last week. Look over everything that you did, meetings, customer interactions, even times with friends, family or your team, literally everything counts. And so for each item, you can ask yourself one of these four questions. Number one, what problems did I solve? Number two, what questions did I answer for people? Number three, what realizations did I have? And then number four, what stories could I tell? Now you could ask all of these questions for every single thing on your calendar, most of the time within two minutes, you've got like five incredible episode topics. And if you want it easy to remember what those questions are, just think of PQRS, problems, questions, realizations, stories. This process gets even easier if you're regularly interacting with clients or customers. For example, every single week, I do a 60-minute Q&A session with business owners and podcasters about their show, about podcast growth, about marketing. And I get asked a bunch of questions on those calls and all of those questions usually are amazing topics for episodes. So one hour of time spent with my clients and I get 10 to 12 solid content ideas. So every week, I pull out my calendar, I ask PQRS, there's almost always an incredible podcast episode topic that comes from that. I hit record, I share a story, I answer the question, I provide some tips, maybe a framework, and like I'm doing right now, I record something that is five to 60 minutes long that's genuinely useful for my audience. Once I finish the recording, here's where the magic kicks in. I upload the recording to Descript, which is an AI transcription and editing tool. With Descript, I can edit the episode just like a document and it makes the changes directly to the audio or video file. Really, really cool, right? So if you're still editing in regular editing software, you should stop. After a quick edit in Descript, I send the project off to my audio and video editors. Now, I outsource audio engineering and video editing because those are specialized skills. And as a business owner, my time is just too valuable for me to be doing those detailed editing tasks myself. That said, if you're at a place where you can't afford editors, that's okay, just use Descript. It can cover for you, it can make your audio sound great and it can make your video look great, it's got great editing effects. You can use that until you can afford an audio editor or video editor. So I use two editors who transform that recording into a polished audio podcast episode and a polished YouTube video, like the one you're watching right now. Already, I have two boxes checked. So now it's time to take that episode and turn it into content for other channels and platforms. And this is where the real magic happens. But first, let's talk about what we're not going to do. So we're not going to just grab random clips from the episode and post them all over social media. I know that's what everyone says you should do and it sounds like the key to growing your audience right now. But here's the truth, I've worked one on one with more than 400 podcasting business owners and I have more than 50,000 podcasters in my audience and across the board, I can tell you, having seen it, the clips don't work for most people unless you're someone who's already famous or you're interviewing somebody famous or you're filming in a big fancy expensive studio. For the rest of us, there's a better strategy than clips and here's how it works. So first, you're going to go back to Descript and export the transcript of the episode that you recorded. You can save the whole transcript as a PDF or a Word doc. Then you upload that transcript to an AI tool that can handle the magic part. Now right now, I just use a set of custom chat GPT bots that I created. But if you have a different AI tool that you like, that's fine, use that, it works too. Here's what mine looks like right now. For each episode, I upload the transcript and I have separate bots that handle the next steps of my content strategy. So here's what they do. The first bot gives me the episode title and a short description of what I just talked about. I use these as my show notes for audio and my description for YouTube. And of course, the title as well, which is really important. This is what we call the metadata. With the metadata ready, my podcast episode and YouTube video, they're good to go. They've got a title, they've got a description. As soon as the editing is done, they are ready to be published. But since I want more leads and sales from my content, I always also include CTAs in the show notes and descriptions. CTAs mean calls to action. And those guide people towards my lead magnets and my sales process. So if you're a business owner who wants my help building this out in your business, head to the description, head to the show notes, and you can learn more what that would look like. After I've got my title and description, now it's time for my email newsletter. I have another separate custom chat GPT bot that specializes in writing emails in my voice. Once again, I just upload the transcript and the bot writes the email. Now I make sure that this email is useful by itself. And what I mean by that is if someone gets the email and they never listen to my podcast episode that I'm talking about, they still learn something from the email. But I also want the email to tease something that I give them in the video or in the audio episode so that they do want to go and watch it right now or even later. Every single time I release a new episode of Grow the Show, I send this email. And it really impacts the amount of views that I get and the downloads that I get. That email includes links to listen on Apple, Spotify, other listening apps, and yes, how to watch on YouTube. And here's the key to drive sales. At the end of every email, I include a quick PS that invites people to book a call or check out the Grow the Show Academy, or whatever it is for them to take the next step to consider working with me. This email brings in new sales almost every single time that I send it, and I didn't even write it. AI did it for me. Next, I have one more custom GPT that helps with my social media content. And here is the key thing to understand. Our goal is not to have AI create all of our social media posts itself. If you rely solely on AI to do all of the work, your content is very obviously going to be generated by AI. And it's not going to build the kind of connection that you need to get people interested in taking the next step and buying from you. AI's been around for like maybe two or three years. People can already tell if something is AI-made. It's still, it's boring, they scroll right past it, and it doesn't do what you want it to do. But we do want AI's help in making us create social media content that achieves our real goals. It grows our audience. It builds our authority. It attracts high quality leads. I like to think of AI as like the Tony Stark super suit that just makes me better and faster. It's not a robot that does all the work for me. It's a wrapper around me that makes me more powerful. So here's how I use one podcast episode and AI to crush social media. I upload the episode transcript to my custom chat GPT bot. The bot then reviews it and picks out insights, stories, tips, tricks, hacks, quotes, anything that could work well by itself as a social media post on any platform. And it gives me a full list of options to choose from. Remember, if I talked for 60 minutes, odds are, I shared a lot of good stuff in that 60 minutes. I've seen 60 minutes of podcast content generate more than 30 awesome social media posts. So what I do is I go through the list that chat GPT gave me and I pick the topics that I like, the ones that really jump out. It usually ends up about being like half of the ideas that chat GPT came up with. Then I have another chat GPT bot that writes a short piece of text based on each quote or topic. Now that bot knows how to craft the text and the copy to get attention on social media. It includes a good hook, it includes stories and value while keeping everything really tight and to the point. From there, I can use that piece of text in a lot of ways. I can turn it into a thread on X or on threads. I could use that text for a LinkedIn post or Instagram captions. I can take that text and design it into a visual carousel, something with nice graphics. Or I could even use that text as a script for short form videos like Reels, TikToks or YouTube shorts. Now while you could do all of those things, the key here, especially when you're starting out, is balance. We want to be efficient, but we also want to make sure that the content is good. So resist the urge number one to go from zero platforms to 10 platforms all at once and also resist the urge to make 30 okay pieces of content for social media. Because if you're making 30, then it's going to be a low effort. Let's just put something out there kind of post. And I'm telling you right now, those posts just don't drive as much audience growth or sales because it just doesn't hit so hard. The goal here is to use AI to help us create social media posts that actually stand out. That's why I recommend focusing on just one format, text, image or short form video, and one platform, like LinkedIn or Instagram or Facebook or X, whatever. Go all in for using this process to make one format on one platform. And I know what you're thinking. Kevin, I thought you said all I had to do was that one recording session. Yes, I did say that. And so if you're a solar printer who doesn't have a team who can help with the social media part, this means that there will still be a little bit of work outside of recording that episode for you to make that native social media content and do the scheduling. And if that's you, just make your episodes 20 minutes and use the remaining 40 minutes to do all of this stuff that I'm talking about. That's what you're really strapped for time. Because it's true, you will need to take a little bit of time to turn those AI-generated text bits into good posts on social media. But doesn't it sound easier and more fun to make social media posts when you already have a script? And that script is based off of things you already said. It's faster, it's simpler, and best of all, it's actually enjoyable. Because it's way more fun to edit something than it is to write something completely from scratch. Once you start posting regularly, and these are insights that are generated from stuff you've already said, you'll start to see real results, you'll get engagement, and your audience will start to grow on social media. And you won't hate social media as much anymore. I hear all kinds of entrepreneurs say, I hate social media. And the fact of the matter is they hate it because they're not good at it. But when you're good at it, when you make it easier for yourself and it starts to work, it's a different story. It becomes fun because it works. And it makes you feel good and it makes you look good. Okay, so at this point, we've got the podcast-driven business system in full swing. As a quick reminder, first, we capture problems, questions, realizations, and stories from our day to day life. Then we choose one of those topics and record a five to 60-minute podcast episode, either solo or with a co-host or with a guest, sharing valuable insights and expertise around that topic. Then we load that recording into the script, quickly clean it up, or have a team member do that, and send it off to our audio and video editors if you have them. If you don't have a team, you can use the script to edit. Then we take the transcript and we hand it over to our AI chatbots. AI gives us a title, a description, drafts an email for our newsletter and writes the base copy for one to 30 social media posts. We then use that copy to create posts on our shows and platforms, and we can even schedule them in advance. My favorite tool for that is Publr, since it works with all of the platforms. So what I do is every Friday, I fire up these chatbots, and I quickly within probably 20 minutes, make all of my posts for the next week and schedule them on Publr. By the way, if you want to check out any of the tools I've mentioned so far, the links are in the show notes, they're all affiliate links, just so you know. Okay, so if you're an entrepreneur who has team members who can manage the social media side for you or even virtual assistants, even better. In this case, you are truly down to just a max of one hour per week on content creation. You record one powerful piece of long-form content and the system does the rest. It gets published on your podcast, YouTube, your newsletter, and across all of social media. And that stuff all works together to attract new leads and nurture the existing ones and all of those platforms drive people into your sales funnel which converts them into happy paying clients. And here's the best part. Once this system is up and running, it keeps going. You can take a week or even a month off and your content will still be out there generating leads, nurturing leads while you're relaxing on the beach or whatever it is that you like to do. And all of that happens without spending a dollar on ads. So that's it. And you go on access to my chatbots and more in-depth tutorials on how to build this system out. Join us in the Grow the Show Academy. It's my monthly membership that you can cancel anytime. The link to join is in the description. Finally, if you're a high-level entrepreneur at six or seven plus figures and you just want to hire me one-on-one to help you build this out inside your team, there's a link below for how you can book a time to learn how that would work as well.
